On October 6th, in celebration of National Manufacturing Day, Demountable Concepts Inc. was awarded the 2017 New Jersey Manufacturer of the Year Award in the medium manufacturer category. Demountable had to compete amongst other leaders in their respected industries such as California Closets, Nortwalt Design, NWL, and UNEX.
This was the 6th Annual “Made in New Jersey” event that was hosted by the New Jersey Manufacturing Extension Program (NJMEP). It showcased numerous awards including Innovator of the Year, the Raymond Hopp Award for Excellence, and Manufacturer of the Year in the categories of small, medium, large manufacturers. Key note speakers, breakout sessions and numerous networking opportunities were featured. For the last 17 years, NJMEP has worked with thousands of manufacturers across New Jersey, and strived to help manufacturers increase revenues, process savings and bolster job growth and retention.
The Manufacturer of the Year award in the medium category is awarded to the manufacturer who best demonstrates industry leadership, innovation, growth through revenues, and a commitment to the growth and development of their employees and communities. Demountable Concepts and its sister company’s MyGlassTruck.com and DCI Fleet have consistently improved operations, work force development, management philosophy, and supply chain developments.
To improve operations continually, all three business entities made the strategic decision to implement the Salesforce customer relationship management system to enhance synergy between our production and sales teams. This strategy has enabled each department to communicate and share information seamlessly amongst each other.
Demountable Concepts and its sister companies are more than just a growing New Jersey manufacturer, they are a group of people committed to a culture of industry leadership and product innovation. Employees are incentivized to earn their ASE, I-Car, AWS, and CDL certifications. The company will cover all expenses for any employee who wishes to earn certification. A commitment to personal development and as well community is one of the company’s main focuses.
Almost seven years ago, MyGlassTruck launched a campaign with the Central and South Jersey affiliate of Susan G. Komen to donate a portion of each glass rack sale to the organization. The campaign has donated over $65,000 to date in support of breast cancer research. Demountable also has created a partnership with the Boys and Girls Club of Gloucester County, and provides manpower and supplies to support the organization.
The biggest supply chain development that Demountable has accomplished is being named the exclusive North American distributor of the JOST International’s Standard Air-Powered demountable system. JOST is the leading European manufacturer of demountable lifts and components. This partnership allows Demountable to complement our industry-leading offerings of hydraulic and manual systems, with the European air-standard.
Demountables entrepreneurial drive to grow has resulted in a need for more space. A preliminary site plan was recently submitted to develop 16 acres in Glassboro’s Office Park redevelopment zone for an additional 80,000 square feet of manufacturing capacity. The new facility will help each company continue to be best in class leaders within their industries for years to come.
